Being armed saves man's life
 

Just wanted to post this since it happened here around my area. Basically, the real story is that these two armed men planned on attacking this 74 year old man and robbing him. What they didn't know was he was an ex Navy seal and was packing. He supposedly began faking a heat attack when they tried robbing him, slumping over his stomach, pulling his gun and killing one, injuring another. The gun that the thugs were using was a stolen police officer's gun from a few weeks ago. It's nice to see it work out this way every once in a while. This is why I back the carrying concealed laws.

Fewer guns = safer streets?

If I had a guy with a gun try to rob me on the street I would wish that every bystander had a gun rather than no one. If everyone packed then the "bad guys" would be AFRAID to pull out a gun. --And everyone else would WISH they'd try it.

All the "gang-bangers" and wannabes would be afraid to wear "colors"...

Scared terrorists would be an added bonus...

The baddies are already armed- too late to prevent that. Arm everyone else. Grannies, too. "You want my f*cking purse, sonny??? No??? Then carry my groceries!!!!"

I'll bet that's the last time that guy flashes a large roll of cash. In that neighborhood, that was like slowly trolling a fat live bait fish through a school of barracuda. When I'm near an area like that, and there is definitely the opportunity here in Atlanta metro, my expensive watch goes in my pocket.

He said he had combat experience, I believe it. To go from the shock of a gun in his face to using a fake heart attack as cover to pull his piece, shoot the guy with the gun, turn and double tap the other perp, back to the gunner and empty the magazine, all instantly. is amazing. That had to be training and a lot of it. It was a really, really bad luck day for the perps. I can see them down there in the red reception hall saying to themselves, "of all the people we had to rob, we had to pick him". :devil_smile:
